SECTION IV GIRLS BOWLING: CANDOR TAKES 7TH IN CLASS D, WAVERLY 4TH IN CLASS C (2019-02-09)

VESTAL - Waverly was the top Tioga County team at the Section IV class championships at Midway Lanes here Saturday.
The Wolverines placed fourth in Class C with a total pinfall of 2429.
Waverly's Victoria Housekneck was the top Tioga County bowler in Class C with a 212 high game and 604 series. Those scores were third and second, respectively.
In Class D, Candor placed seventh with a total pinfall of 2004 and Tioga was ninth with an 1889. The Indians' high game was a 737.
The top IAC school was Union Springs / Port Byron with a 2503, third in Class C. U-E was the top team overall and in STAC with a 2958.
Individually, Candor's May Marsh was the top Tioga County girl in Class D with a 202 high game and 464 series. Those scores placed her seventh and 15th, respectively.
Newark Valley and Owego did not compete.
