SECTION IV GIRLS BASKETBALL: OWEGO EARNS TOP SEED, FIRST-ROUND BYE IN CLASS B PLAYOFFS (2019-02-14)

TIOGA COUNTY - Owego has drawn the No. 1 seed for the Section IV Class B girls basketball playoffs.

The Indians (18-0) receive a first round bye and host the winner of No. 4 Waverly (17-1) and No. 5 Susquehanna Valley Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. They meet Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. at Waverly.

Second-seeded Norwich (18-1) receives a bye in the opening round as well. The Purple Tornado host the winner of No. 3 Oneonta (13-6) and No. 6 Whitney Point (11-8) Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. The Yellowjackets and WP meet Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. at Oneonta.

The semifinals will be contested Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. at the home of the higher seed and the championship game will be played March 2 at 5:30 p.m. at Floyd L. Maines Arena in Binghamton.
