IAC TRACK & FIELD: CANDOR, S-VE PARTICIPATE IN MULTI-TEAM MEET (2024-04-20)

TIOGA CENTER — The Candor and Spencer-Van Etten track & field teams participated in a multi-team meet at Tioga Tuesday.

S-VE split with Tioga as the girls won, 81-55, and the boys lost, 76-64. Tioga swept Candor, 76-27 in the girls meet and 111-24 in the boys meet.

Following are the top three overall place-winners for each team.

CANDOR
BOYS
Kody Goble heaved the shot put 35 feet, 9 inches to grab second-place honors.

The 4x400- and 4x800-meter relay placed third with times of 3:59.4 and 9:50.5, respectively.

GIRLS
Emma Haynes was the runner-up in the 400, clocking 1:10.4.

Ayasha Schweiger claimed second in the 3,000 with a time of 13:45.6 and placed third in the 1500 in six minutes flat.

Lindsey Morse finished third in the long jump with a distance of 14-9 ¼.

The 4x400 relay was third with a time of 5:08.4.

S-VE
BOYS
John Garrison won the 400 in 55.6 seconds and the 3200 in 10:56.2. He was also second in the 1600 in 4:51.4.

Karson Kenville captured the triple jump, leaping 35-3 ¼. He was second in the long jump with a distance of 16-11 ¼ and in the 110 hurdles at 16.4 seconds.

The 4x400 relay crossed the finish line with a winning time of 3:52.6.

The 4x400 was second in and the 4x100 took the third-place spot in 50.1 seconds.

William Horyczun finished third in the 100 in 13.8 seconds and Eddie Rixford was the runner-up in the 800 in 2:16.6.

Placing third for the Panthers were Donavin VanDerpoel in the shot put (35-8) and the discus (94-2), Zachary Paucke in the 200 (:24.6), Belanger in the 400 (:56.7), and Rixford in the 1600 (4:57.1).

GIRLS
Demi Mouillesseaux won the triple jump with a leap of 30-9 ¼ and was second in the 200, recording a time of 28.6 seconds.

Madelyn Ellison won the 3,000 with a time of 13:31.3. She claimed runner-up honors in the 1500 in 5:58.

Kaylee Kastenhuber took the discus with a toss of 72-7 and was second in the shot put at 28-4.

Lilie Stevens won the pole vault, clearing 6-6.

Brooke Ryan was the runner-up in the pole vault at 5-6.

Kirsten Garrison finished third in the 3,000 (14:52.3).

The 4x400 relay took second in 5:06.9 and the 4x800 was third in 12:04.9.
