IAC TRACK & FIELD: S-VE COMPETES IN TIOGA TWISTED RELAYS (2024-04-22) Tioga County Sports Report
TIOGA CENTER — Spencer-Van Etten’s Brian Belanger and John Garrison captured individual victories at the Tioga Twisted Relays Friday.
Belanger won the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.48 seconds while Garrison took the 1600 run in 4:46.48.
The Panthers recorded several runner-up showings.
In the girls meet they were Kirsten Garrison in the 1500, clocking 6:00.39, Demi Mouillesseaux in the triple jump with a leap of 30 feet even and Kaylee Kastenhuber in the shot put with a heave of 27-2 ¼.
For the boys, it included Belanger in the 800 at 2:14.17 and Eddie Rixford in the 1600 in 4:58.48
Two mixed relays crossed the finish line in second place, the 4x100 (:49.31) 4x800 relay (10:53.32).
The bronze went to Grace Bishop in the 3,000 (13:36.69), Lilie Stevens in the pole vault (6-0) and Aubrey Catablan in the discus (72-11) for the girls, Zachary Paucke in the 200 (:25.27) and Karson Kenville in the triple jump (35-7 ¼) for the boys, and the 4x200 mixed relay (1:59.24).
S-VE hosts Groton, Newfield and Union Springs in a multi-team meet Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
