OWEGO — The Owego track & field teams rolled to a pair of impressive victories over Seton Catholic in STAC action Tuesday.

The girls won, 93-25, to improve to 2-0. The boys claimed a one-sided 127-4 triumph to even their mark at 1-1.

“There were some impressive performances, including Jaelyn Chrysler with four first-place finishes, Stella Palladino with three wins, Lilly LaFever with three firsts and a second, and Sidney Senko with two wins and a second,” coach Scott Senko said.

“The boys won 127-4 with Brady Senko picking up three wins, Liam Bell, Caleb Hoover and Jaeden King each earned two first place finishes.

“Both teams are looking very strong and should be able to finish well at this weekend's Gerry O'Donnell Invitational.”

GIRLS
Chrysler captured the 800 (2:40.3), 1500 (5:16.2), the 4x400 relay with Jewel Belokur, Abby McHugh and Lilly LaFever (5:15.9) and the 4x800 relay with LaFever, Belokur and McHugh (11:55.1).

Palladino sprinted to victory in the 100 (:13.0), 200 (:28.9) and 400 (1:07.9).

LaFever added the 3,000 (14:33.1) to her relay wins and was also second in the 200 (:29.3) while Sidney Senko won the 400 hurdles (1:33) and the high jump (4-2), and was the runner-up in the 100 hurdles (:21.6).

The River Hawks’ other winners were Ebba Lindhout in the 100 hurdles (:20.8), Sophia Lee in the long jump (12-8 ½) and Taylor Signs in the triple jump (24-5 ½).

Taking second were Abby McHugh in the 800 (3:13.4), Belokur in the 3,000 (16:47.8), Aubrey Ellis in the shot put (20-2) and discus (54-0), and Kocsis in the long jump (12-3).

Placing third were Finley Higgins in the 100 hurdles (:25), McHugh in the 1500 (5:54), Piper Cunningham in the 3,000 (23:45) and discus (51-0).

BOYS
The River Hawks swept all 17 events.

Brady Senko won the 110 hurdles (:19.8), the 400 hurdles (1:10) and the triple jump (33-11).

King took the 100 (:10.9) and 200 (:24.1), and teamed with Billy Huddleston, Adam Llewellyn and Matt Samuelson to claim the 4x100 relay (:46.4).

Bell was triumphant in the long jump (16-7 ½) and the high jump (5-5) while Hoover claimed the throws with a 34-8 ½ in the shot put and 129-9 in the discus.

Other individual winners were Bryson Castro in the 400 (:59.7), Jaxson Belokur in the 800 (2:38.5), Deric Singer in the 1600 (5:18.6), Javan Belokur in the 3200 (12:20) and David Hunsinger in the pole vault (7-0).

Sam Cunningham, Hunter Pitcher, Neil Cox and Jaxson Belokur won the 4x400 relay (4:14.7), and Jaxson Belokur, Javan Belokur, Singer and Cadon Wasielewski claimed the 4x800 relay (10:52.1).

Placing second were Pitcher in the 110 hurdles (:20.9) and triple jump (31-2), Billy Huddleston in the 100 (:11.5), Levi Saunders in the 1600 (5:31.7) and 3200 (12:21.8), Jaxson Belokur in the 400 (1:00.4), Dawson Bell in the 400 hurdles (1:10) and high jump (4-10), Luke Saunders in the 800 (2:41.7), Llewellyn in the 200 (:24.7), Dylan Davis in the shot put (34-2), Matt Springsteen in the long jump (16-5) and Dylan Kithcart in the pole vault (6-0).

Taking third were Springsteen in the 110 hurdles (21.4), Llewellyn in the 100 (:11.9), Dilan Geiger in the 400 (1:00.7), Wasielewski in the 800 (2:44.0), Samuelson in the 200 (:25.5), Bell in the 3200 (14:10.5), Sonny Petro in the shot put (31-8 1/2), Davis in the discus (85-8), Pitcher in the long jump (15-8 1/2), Matthew Wood in the triple jump (31-1) and Neil Cox in the high jump (4-6).
