IAC BOYS GOLF: S-VE FALLS TO UNBEATEN US/PB (2024-04-25)

WAVERLY — Michael Culver carded an even-par 37 on the front nine at The Club at Shepard Hills to lead unbeaten Union Springs/Port Byron to a 171-212 victory over Spencer-Van Etten in IAC boys golf action Wednesday.

Culver recorded an eagle 3 on the par-5 fifth hole as US/PB improved to 3-0 in the division and 4-0 overall.

Stephen Case shot a 43, and Joey Sylvester and Alex Church recorded 45 and 46, respectively, for the Wolves.

Tyler Fedenko paced the Panthers with a 44 which included a birdie four on the par-5 eighth hole.

Jayden Stone carded a 53, Zach Hammond added a 55 and John Hastings rounded out the S-VE scoring with a 60.

Non-scoring golfers included S-VE’s Michael Fanning with a 64 and Andrew Kinnetz with a 69, and US/PB’s Henry Kinnaman with a 63.

S-VE (2-2 division, 2-3 overall) hosts Tioga Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
